Blogs are heavy influencers of French fashion, says Le Figaro

The French are known the world over for their legendary sense of style, inspiring fashionistas and wannabes alike. But who serves as their inspiration?

Bloggers, that's who.

Today, leading French daily Le Figaro came out with a 14-page report on the importance of blogs in the world of la mode. No longer is the important role of trendsetting reserved to mainstream media and industry insiders; the popularity and accessibility of blogs (according to a figure attributed to Forrester Research in the article, 20% of the French population read a blog at least once a month, of which a further 10% comment) has democratized the exclusive world of French fashion.
